Steward - Dish Washing

Steward Position The Lantern Columbia is seeking a dedicated Steward to join our team and support our kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and ensuring all dishware and kitchen utensils are sanitized and ready for use. This role is vital in helping us deliver an exceptional dining experience to our customers through efficient and thorough dishwashing and kitchen support. Responsibilities Wash, clean, and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and utensils efficiently and thoroughly Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and equipment throughout the shift Assist kitchen staff with basic prep work and keeping workstations organized Dispose of waste and recyclables properly and maintain proper sanitation procedures Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly Requirements Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen stewardship preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay on your feet for extended periods Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly Opportunity to grow and develop within a reputable hospitality company Supportive and friendly work environment Employee discounts and perks About the Company The Lantern Columbia is a newly opened independent boutique hotel with a food and beverage operation that extends past the restaurant into the indoor outdoor lobby.
