Role: Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer – LinuxLocation:RemoteDuration: 12+ Months Visa -Citizen only Job Description:This role serves as a Linux and virtual infrastructure system administrator. Primary responsibilities include designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions. The engineer is expected to stay updated with technology advancements, recommend and deploy improvements, and collaborate with architecture, development, operations, and business teams to solve critical issues while enhancing customer experience.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Provide daily administration and support of Linux/Unix operating systems and related infrastructure.Support internal stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure highly available application solutions.Assess current standards, practices, technologies, and ecosystems.Recommend improvements to support future strategies.Facilitate implementation tasks such as operational standards, automation, and code deployment.Develop, document, deploy, and support best practices for risk assessment, contingency planning, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.Communicate with all levels of management on projects and initiatives.Lead migration of legacy technologies to current standards.Function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 6 years of Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.) administration experience.Minimum 3 years engineering and operating with one or more commercial cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).Relevant cloud certifications.6+ years Unix (Solaris, HP-UX, etc.) administration experience preferred.6+ years server virtualization experience (VMware, ESXi, vSphere, Hyper-V) preferred.6+ years containerization and management experience (Kubernetes, Rancher, etc.) preferred.6+ years storage management experience (NAS, SAN, etc.) preferred.Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible).Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across IT infrastructure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to clearly explain technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).Competencies:Innovative & AgileOwnership & AccountabilityEffective Decision MakingStrong Communication SkillsStrong Interpersonal SkillsTeam CollaborationProblem Resolution
