Process Engineer

Our client is a U.S.-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in small-molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development and manufacturing. The organization recently expanded its footprint through the acquisition of a longstanding cGMP manufacturing site in the Pacific Northwest, adding a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to its network. The Role They Will Play The Process Engineer will be the technical backbone of a cGMP manufacturing site, translating process science into reliable, compliant production — the difference between a batch that ships and one that doesn't. Day to day, this means troubleshooting reactors, chillers, filter dryers, and TCUs; scaling up new processes from development into operations; and driving continuous improvement across the site's equipment and procedures. Unlike a pure R&D role, this position sits at the intersection of development and operations — equal parts scientist, engineer, and problem-solver, with direct exposure to client-facing CDMO work. For the right candidate, this is a launchpad into site engineering leadership as the facility continues to grow under new ownership. We're looking for a hands-on process engineer who thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment and is ready to be the go-to technical resource on the floor. Expertise in cGMP pharmaceutical or API manufacturing processes. 5+ years' experience in process/manufacturing engineering (or 10+ years' relevant experience with a non-engineering degree). Exposure to batch chemical reactors, filter dryers, TCUs, pumps, and related process equipment. Working knowledge of process control and data collection systems (PLC, SCADA).
