VBA Developer

Our Customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.We are seeking a contract VBA Developer to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.The candidate will develop and communicate data-driven insights, engage in all phases of software development, and document detailed specifications of applications. They will also develop expertise in Digital & Analytics services and function across multiple team areas. The ideal candidate balances detailed tracking with strategic thinking, communicates effectively across various business levels, quickly understands and trains others on innovative technologies, and thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with knowledge of the professional services industry, are essential.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and communicate data-driven insights and recommendations effectively/succinctly to team leaders within the organization. This includes direct work providing ad-hoc reporting/analytics support and coordination of workflow for data-driven projects. Engage in all phases of software development: from designing application models to creation, testing, debugging, deployment, and training of end-users. Document detailed specifications of both: internally developed applications and software used, including flowcharts, diagrams, and charts. Develop knowledge and expertise of all Digital & Analytics services (e.g., KPIs, reports, dashboards, analytics). Function as utility player across multiple areas on the team. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years related experience or 1 year applied experience in a Talent data landscape 1 – 2 years’ experience in the follow applications: Microsoft SQL Server development Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Microsoft Office skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Word, Teams) 1 year experience in regression testing of large data sets. Ability to balance detail (e.g., tracking nuanced client needs) with thinking strategically and holistically about underlying goals/needs. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad set of clients and other project teams from across the business, spanning multiple levels. Proficient in quickly understanding innovative technologies, with the ability to train others on technology platforms. Work well in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment with minimal oversight and an agile mindset. Analytical ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective. Strong organizational skills in executing multiple project priorities simultaneously. Strong written and oral communication skills to convey complex topics concisely. Knowledge of the professional services industry. Preferred KnowledgeKnowledge of Active Directory security groups and how they are applied for data security. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell.
