Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities Lead the development and enhancement of backend systems using Java, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate efficient communication between client applications and servers. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures in SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB for data integrity and performance. Utilize microservices architecture principles to build modular, scalable solutions leveraging technologies such as Spring Boot and Docker. Conduct thorough debugging, unit testing, and code reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TFS to streamline deployment processes. Participate actively in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Document system designs using UML diagrams and technical specifications to ensure clarity across teams. Maintain security best practices by integrating authentication protocols like OAuth2 and implementing secure data handling procedures. Experience Proven experience developing enterprise-level backend applications with Java in a professional setting. Strong knowledge of web development frameworks including Spring Boot, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), and Java EE technologies. Hands-on experience with front-end integration using React, Angular, or similar frameworks coupled with JavaScript/TypeScript skills. Familiarity with database design principles for relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL options like MongoDB. Expertise in building RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for diverse application needs. Experience working within Agile environments utilizing tools like TFS (Team Foundation Server), SVN (Apache Subversion), GitHub, or Git for version control. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications. Strong understanding of multithreading concepts, application debugging techniques, and performance optimization strategies. Ability to develop secure applications by implementing best practices in authentication and data protection. Familiarity with software development methodologies including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), CI/CD pipelines, and application deployment processes on Linux or Windows servers.
