Tool and DIe Technician

QuickPro Staffing is seeking experienced and motivated Tool and Die Technicians for a well-established metal stamping and manufacturing facility in the Springfield, OH area. Position Summary The Tool and Die Technician will support production and tooling operations by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting metal stamping dies and tooling. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in both the toolroom and on the production floor. Key Responsibilities * Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production dies and tooling * Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment * Read and interpret blueprints and machining plans * Perform in-press die troubleshooting and adjustments * Disassemble, inspect, repair, sharpen, and reassemble dies * Install and repair die sensors and safety devices * Layout, fit, and assemble jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling components * Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment * Communicate effectively with production and other shifts as needed Qualifications Required: * High School Diploma or GED * Prior experience in manufacturing or tool and die work * Proficiency with machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders) * Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings * Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills * Own basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments * Ability to follow all safety requirements (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, etc.) Preferred: * TIG welding experience * Basic computer and data entry skills
