Visit us at packaging.toppan.comSummary DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Night Shift Supervisor. While reporting to the Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient flow of materials and information within our organization. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of all department employees in the plant during the night shift hours. Your role will involve various aspects of the manufacturing process such as safety, machine reliability, quality assurance, production efficiency, continuous improvement, material handling and cost performance.What you'll be doing:Teach and lead the safety process and best manufacturing practices for assigned shift.Coordinate production scheduling on shift to meet customer demands, manage overtime, minimize inventory, and reduce costs.Direct shift in continuous improvement initiatives and work to meet performance metrics using tools such as SPS, Kaizen events and lean manufacturing.Build and maintain productive relationships that foster employee engagement and satisfaction.Provide direction, training, and development of hourly employees on assigned shift as well as counseling or discipline as needed.Identify, propose, and implement capital projects to improve operational performance.Support the safe and healthy work environment based on the plant's safety action plan.Support Quality initiatives based on customer specifications and Customer Experience Pillar.Ensuring coordination of resources based on daily operational schedule.Ensuring accuracy of transactions within Navision.Ensuring proper time and attendance of night shift employees.Meeting/exceeding performance metrics expectations based on machine and plant KPI's.Direct continuous improvement initiatives with effective utilization of SPS Toolbox.Ensuring communication and employee engagement on night shift.Working closely with Plant Superintendent, Department Managers, Team Leads and Human Resources on production, scheduling and employee related matters or concerns.This is an onsite position located in our Plant City, FL FacilityWe'd love to hear from you if:Willing to work nights Monday - Friday, 7:00pm-3:00am with flexibility from 7:00pm-7:00am with overtime & weekends required when necessary.At least 2 years of experience in supervision or operational leadership.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook).Proficiency using UKG, and Coupa is preferred.Proficiency using MVPOne or applicable CMMS is preferred.Proficiency using ePS, SAP, or an applicable ERP system is preferred.Bachelor's degree in business or engineering related field is preferred.5+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred.3+ years of experience in supervision or operational leadership in manufacturing is preferred.At TOPPAN Packaging Americas, We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support our employees' overall wellbeing.
