PPO# 119694About the RoleWe're looking for a highly adaptable, execution-focused People Operations & Development Coordinator to support and continuously improve the full employee lifecycle - from recruiting and hiring through onboarding, training, and ongoing development.This is a hands-on, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development. You won't just coordinate processes - you will own them, improve them, and step in wherever needed to keep things moving.Our environment is fast-paced and often evolving. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong decision-making, and the ability to take action, learn quickly, and adjust course when needed.You will play a critical role in ensuring employees meet all California BSIS and Private Patrol Operator (PPO) compliance standards, client-specific requirements, and internal performance expectations - while helping build scalable, efficient people processes that support company growth.What You'll DoRecruiting & Hiring (~20%)Own day-to-day execution of recruiting operations, ensuring roles move efficiently from opening to offerCoordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interview logistics with a strong focus on speed and candidate experiencePartner with hiring managers to drive structured, consistent, and effective interview processesProactively manage candidate pipelines and anticipate hiring needsPrepare and issue offer letters and pre-employment documentation with accuracy and urgencyTrack and analyze recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, conversion rates) and identify areas for improvementOnboarding & Employee Experience (~20%)Own and continuously improve the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through job readinessBuild structured, repeatable onboarding processes while adapting to real-time needs and constraintsFacilitate new hire orientation and ensure all compliance and documentation requirements are completed on timePartner with managers to ensure clear onboarding plans and accountability for 30/60/90-day milestonesAct quickly to resolve onboarding gaps or issues to ensure a smooth employee experienceTraining & Compliance (Primary Focus ~40%)Lead coordination and delivery of training programs to meet CA BSIS, PPO, and client-specific requirementsFacilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions; adapt delivery style based on audience and situationIdentify training gaps and take initiative to improve content, format, and delivery methodsTrack and enforce training completion, certifications, and renewals with a high level of accountabilityPartner closely with the Qualified Manager (QM) and HR to ensure full regulatory compliance at all timesStep in quickly to address urgent compliance or training issues and drive them to resolutionHR Operations & Compliance (~10%)Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systemsEnsure compliance with I-9s, certifications, audits, and internal documentation standardsSupport performance management processes and employee documentationRespond to employee inquiries with professionalism, clarity, and urgencyAssist with offboarding and ensure clean, compliant transitionsSafety, Reporting & Operational Support (~10%)Support safety training initiatives and compliance tracking across the organizationMaintain and improve dashboards and reporting tools (HRIS, Excel, Google Sheets)Deliver regular reporting on hiring, training, and compliance metrics with actionable insightsIdentify inefficiencies and take initiative to improve processes and workflowsSupport cross-functional projects and step into operational needs as they ariseWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who:Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments where priorities can shift quicklyTakes ownership, makes decisions, and moves work forward without waiting for directionIs highly adaptable-able to pivot, problem-solve, and operate effectively in ambiguityIs proactive and resourceful, with a strong bias toward actionHolds themselves accountable for outcomes, not just tasksIs organized and detail-oriented, without losing sight of speed and executionCommunicates clearly, directly, and professionallyIs comfortable facilitating training or motivated to quickly build that capabilityUses data to inform decisions and improve processesRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in training, HR coordination, recruiting, or a related fieldDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong decision-making skills and ability to act with limited directionEligible to obtain California BSIS certification and comply with PPO requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google WorkspaceAbility to work flexible hours when needed to support operationsPreferred SkillsExperience supporting full-cycle recruiting in a high-volume or fast-paced environmentExperience facilitating in-person and/or virtual training sessionsFamiliarity with instructional design or adult learning principlesExperience with HRIS, ATS, or LMS platforms (e.g., Rippling or similar systems)Experience tracking and reporting on compliance, hiring, or performance metricsCPR/AED Trainer certification (or willingness to obtain)Why This Role MattersThis role connects hiring, onboarding, training, and development into one continuous employee experience.
