Role Overview: The Pipefitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for fuel tanks, above- and below-ground fuel systems, and related petroleum infrastructure. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work on complex projects for government and private sector clients. Candidates who have piping experience in the industrial, petroleum, fire sprinkler installation, and plumbing industries will be considered. Key Responsibilities: Install and fit pipes for fuel systems, day tanks, and remote fill installations according to specifications and blueprints. Cut, thread, and weld pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on petroleum piping systems. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in pipefitting preferred. 3+ years of experience in pipefitting, preferably in petroleum or industrial settings. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance for fuel systems. Ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions. Comfortable working with hazardous materials following strict safety protocols.
