Sr Java Software Engineer (Springboot / AWS SES)
About the Role:
Seeking a hands-on Lead Java Software Engineer to help build a new enterprise email delivery platform for a leading financial services organization. This role focuses on Java/Spring Boot development, AWS SES integration, and building scalable, reliable messaging services. We're looking for a technical leader who enjoys writing code, solving complex problems, and mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead implementation of an enterprise email platform using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS SES.Build scalable microservices and event-driven messaging solutions.
Integrate AWS SES with SNS/SQS for email delivery, bounce handling, and notifications.
Support email deliverability, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and suppression management.
Develop and troubleshoot applications running on AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to other engineers.
Requirements:
Strong, recent hands-on Java and Spring Boot development experience.
Experience with AWS SES and email delivery or notification systems.
Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
AWS cloud experience, preferably including Kubernetes/EKS.Experience leading technical development while remaining hands-on.
Nice to Have:
AWS SNS/SQS, email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), high-volume messaging, and Proofpoint.
