Controller - Oil & GasWe are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and optimize the financial and operational accounting functions for our oil and gas clients. This role is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading accounting teams in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic financial professional with strong leadership capabilities, multi-entity experience, and a deep understanding of GAAP and oil and gas industry regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage Revenue Distributions Administer and review Joint Interest Billings (JIB) Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of financial statements Review and interpret owner relations and revenue decks Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulatory requirements Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members Maintain strict adherence to reporting deadlines and deliverables Optimize accounting workflows and operational efficiencies Utilize and manage accounting systems, including PAK Energy software Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Master's degree and/or CMA or CPA designation preferred Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas sector, including industry accounting practices Demonstrated experience with oil and gas-specific accounting software (PAK Energy preferred) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proven experience in multi-entity environments Strong leadership and team management skills Advanced financial analysis and forecasting capabilities Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations Detail-oriented and highly organized Deadline-driven with strong time management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
