Barista
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall customer experience in the café setting.
Qualifications
Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
Experience in the food industry or food service is a plus.
Proficient in using POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
