We hand-squish, and manually process thousands of ice cream sandwiches a day at our production HQ and are seeking new, energetic, culturally fit staff to add to our already amazing ice cream sandwich production team!The schedule for this position is 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday-FridayAs a full-time employee, this role is eligible for participation in our benefits program including health/vision/dental, long and short-term disability, voluntary life, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) program, front-loaded PTO, nine paid holidays (including one floating holiday), and more!Principal ResponsibilitiesIce cream sandwich processing and manufacturingPackaging preparation and codingStocking boxes, bags, and prepping production equipmentTransfer inventory between the production floor, storage freezers and the warehouseSanitation processes and proceduresAdhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation and food safety requirementsUnderstand, read and follow plant policies and proceduresMust be friendly, courteous, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staffMust be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlinesWork independently, productively and be able to manage multiple projectsPalletizing finished goods in a freezer environmentPhysical Requirements And Working EnvironmentThe position is a production team position within a food manufacturing environment which may at times require the following:Ability to come in contact with allergens including but not limited to: nuts, dairy, gluten, latexWork with automated and semi-automated ice cream equipment (continuous freezer, packaging equipment, liquid nitrogen tunnel, etc.)Work with manual and powered liftsWork with manual and power tools (box knife, hammer, drill, etc)Work with hazardous chemicalsStand, walk and lift for long periods of time throughout a shiftCommunication with all department managers and supervisors, occasional visitors, and contracted workers operating within the facilityAbility to occasionally lift up to 50lbsWork periodically in a cold storage environmentEducation, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills And KnowledgeFood Manufacturing in a warehouse environment preferredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ability to comprehend, speak and read EnglishMust be 18 years of age or olderMust have reliable transportationRuby Jewel LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment based on an individual’s race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
