Infrared Thermography Trainer

We’re hiring an experienced infrared thermographer to perform onsite level 1 and level 2 infrared thermography certification training courses. If you are a Level 2 certified thermographer, passion for training and a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated infrared inspection experience in commercial, industrial or utility environments – We want to talk to you!Job ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality Level I and II infrared thermography certification courses (primarily in-person, occasionally online) across the U.STravel up to 75% to customer sites to lead 4-day certification courses (typically Mon–Thu or Tue–Fri, every other week)Prepare for each course by coordinating logistics, including travel, student materials, classroom setup, and equipment functionalityPresent training in an engaging, professional manner using real-world examples tailored to the audience’s industry and experience levelAdminister, grade, and report exams to confirm successful completion and certificationProvide ongoing support to students and ensure a positive, successful learning experienceMaintain excellent student satisfaction and consistently receive strong post-class reviewsContribute to the development and enhancement of training materials, including webinars, articles, and other content during non-travel weeksBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as an ambassador of Guidant’s training excellenceCollaborate with our sales teams to identify upsell opportunities and sharing customer feedbackStay current on industry trends, infrared technology, and applicationsSubmit expense reports in a timely manner and support other departments as neededQualificationsLevel 2 Infrared Thermography Certification (e.g., ASNT, Infraspection, ITC, or equivalent). Level 3 Master Thermographer is preferredMinimum 3 years of hands-on infrared inspection experience in commercial, industrial, or utility environmentsPassion for training. Proven experience delivering technical training in a classroom and/or online setting is preferredStrong knowledge of infrared camera operation, thermographic principles, and relevant safety practicesExcellent public speaking and communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse audienceStrong organizational skills for managing travel, training logistics, and documentationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams), and basic AV equipmentReside within 1.5 hours of a major airport for efficient travel to customer sitesAdditional InformationYou must reside in the USA and pass any necessary background checks or customer site requirementsWe are not currently providing employment visa sponsorshipThis is a ~75% travel positionWe are open to both full-time and contractor positionsCompensation Range: $60,000 to $80,000 based on experienceWhat we offer:Compensation package commensurate with experience and skillsCompetitive benefit package including health insurance, ancillary benefits, 401(k), etcFlexible working policyWe are seeking a teammate with the values, skills, and passion to build Guidant Power into the premier partner for electrical safety, reliability, and safety services.
