Assist Kentucky Historical Society staff during our Field Trip season (March - May) present three different interactive carts that demonstrate the importance of coal, wool, and inventions in Kentucky's timeline. You may also be asked to: welcome groups to specific sites on KHS Campus (History Center, Kentucky Military History Museum, and Old State Capitol) Monitor various galleries Help facilitate events by interacting with families through hands on activities. distribute supplies for Learning Labs Searching for volunteers that are willing to commit to one shift a week, but are open to all schedule availabilities! Shifts can be 2 - 6 hours with breaks scheduled accordingly. Training is required and will be held quarterly. Best for retired, current, or pursuing educators with daytime availability and/or individuals with public speaking, customer service, or large groups varying from elementary to adult comfortability.
