Travel Mammography Technologist

DescriptionWe are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Clearlake, CA. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.TasksAs a Mammo Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as requiredCorrectly interpret doctors' written instructionsConduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum resultsDevelop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretationMaintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and proceduresMaintain accurate patient recordsUnderstand and use the McKesson PACS system RequirementsMust have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Mammo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.Requirements*: BLS, ARRT (M), 2 Years
