The Surgical Tech will perform scrub duties, maintain sterile technique, assist with surgical patient preparation, and support the surgical team during OB procedures. Candidates must have strong OB experience and be comfortable working in a high-volume environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform scrub duties while maintaining sterile supplies and sterile technique.Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to physician preference lists.Provide instrumentation, sutures, and surgical supplies during procedures.Pass instruments to surgeons during cases as needed.Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments according to established policy.Handle specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards when handling sharps, implants, dressings, and contaminated materials.Assist with room turnover, cleanup, replacement, and restocking of supplies and equipment.Ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.Float to other departments within scope of competency if required.Participate in on-call rotation as needed.Required SkillsScrub dutiesSterile techniqueSterile supplies managementDelivery setupSurgical patient preparationCase cart assemblyInstrumentation and suture handlingMaintaining sterile environmentSpecimen handling and preparationRoom turnover and equipment careCounting surgical instruments and suppliesRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.At least 1 year of OB Surgical Tech experience required.Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.High School Diploma or GED required.BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required.Surgical Technician Certificate required.Please submit your resume to manas(at)medcadre.com.
