Graduate Assistant in the Office of Human ResourcesUniversity of Dubuque1 PositionsID: VVRzNXEvdHRlN3ZnYVUrPosted On 04/21/2025Refreshed On 05/02/2026Job OverviewThe University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Human Resources for the 2026-2027 term, with a potential renewal for 2027-2028.Primary Responsibilities:Provide administrative support to the Human Resources departmentAssist in recruitment and marketing initiativesConduct reference and employment checksManage and track applicantsMaintain employee databases and filing systemsAssist in benefit trackingCreate monthly newsletter to disperse to faculty and staffPerform other duties in support of the University's MissionRequirements:Bachelor's degree is required (a human resource discipline is preferred), and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' programAbility to use discretion and confidentiality in department and University mattersHigh level of organization and attention to detailStrong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given timeProficiency in Microsoft OfficeUtilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonalAbility to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionalsAll graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week.
