Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This is day shift for Saturday and Sunday. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Experience Previous experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality food presentation. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and menu planning is advantageous. Experience as a dietary aide or within the dietary department is beneficial for understanding specialized meal requirements. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. A background in catering or serving can enhance your ability to meet diverse customer needs.
