Job DetailsDescriptionThe Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures.Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office proceduresTake vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMRAssist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting)Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and educationManage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directedMake post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer serviceOpen, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and suppliesMaintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA complianceMedical Assistant Required Skills And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experienceCMA or RMA certification preferredExperience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environmentDetail-oriented, professional, and patient-focusedAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededProficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Medical Assistant Pay Range$17 - $19/hr based on experienceMedical Assistant Benefits OfferedHealth Insurance (Single & Family plans available) Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) plan with Company Match Employee Discount Program Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Medical Assistant Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
