As the first point of contact for patients, the PCC plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience through every stage of care. This full-time, onsite-only position blends administrative healthcare operations with high-touch, empathetic service.Location: 3665 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60613 (or) 929 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60657In This Role, You WillWork closely with providers, clinical leadership, and operations staff to support appointment scheduling, patient communication, medication coordination, insurance verification, and more. You will also act as a liaison between patients and providers, helping patients navigate their mental health care with professionalism, warmth, and clarity.Schedules: Candidates will rotate the following shift schedule(s). Must be available to work any of the following shifts (below).Shift I: 7:30am - 4:00pmShift II: 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pmShift III: 12:00pm - 8:30pmSaturday: 7:45am - 5:00pm (rotating)Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Communication & SupportProvide exceptional customer service via phone, email, SMS, and patient portalServe as the welcoming, professional first point of contact for new and returning patientsAddress inquiries, appointment scheduling, medication requests, and care coordinationAssist with patient emergencies or admissions in a calm, supportive mannerElectronic Medical Records (EMR) & Patient ManagementAccurately maintain and update patient recordsSupport communication of provider messages, appointment reminders, and follow-upsGenerate and review reports to ensure smooth, efficient patient careMedication CoordinationFacilitate medication refill requests and coordinate with pharmacies and providersSupport patients with clear communication regarding medication policies and timelinesInsurance Navigation & BillingExplain coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and prior authorizations in patient-friendly termsVerify insurance coverage and collect payments professionally and compassionatelyEnsure accurate billing and reconcile daily payment batchesClinical OperationsGreet, check in, and check out patients in a friendly and timely mannerSupport provider scheduling and maximize appointment slot utilizationAssist with clinic operations and leadership initiatives as neededQualificationsAssociate’s degree or five years of related experience in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or customer service roleStrong communication skills with a warm, empathetic approach to patient careDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work across multiple locations if neededProficiency in healthcare technology and EMR systemsPerks & BenefitsCompensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour (Full-time)Full comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, EAP services and moreMonthly Wellness Services Reimbursement401k match up to 4%Opportunities for growth and professional developmentAccrued PTO and sick/wellness daysWe celebrate diversity when it comes to all backgrounds and identities, and we encourage applications from minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, candidates of all ages, and nontraditional backgrounds.
