Advanced Processing Engineer - Pneumatics
Overview
In this role you will lead advanced machining, automation, and process development across the Performance Pneumatics platform. You will work hands-on as a technical leader, building capability, improving manufacturing performance, and turning ideas into measurable results across multiple sites. You’ll partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to drive efficiency, quality, and safety. The position combines entrepreneurship with cross-functional influence in a global manufacturing environment.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize high-tolerance CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and process capability to improve quality, cycle time, yield, and costLead automation and controls initiatives (robotics, PLC/HMI, vision, motion, Industry 4.0)Identify and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies to boost flexibility, productivity, safety, and competitivenessApply Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, SPC, and DOE to reduce waste and improve performanceEstablish standard processes, best practices, and technical playbooks across sitesLead capital equipment and process upgrade projects from business case through installation, commissioning, training, and validationMaintain and improve manufacturing documentation (SOPs, routings, CNC programs, control plans, change controls)Provide shop-floor technical support, troubleshoot issues, and lead trials to improve OEE, scrap, and reworkLead cross-functional project teams and mentor engineers, technicians, and site manufacturing resourcesEnsure new processes and equipment meet safety, ergonomic, regulatory, and quality requirements
Key requirements8+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, operations, or related technical disciplineHands-on CNC machining, programming, tooling, fixturing, and process improvementExperience with industrial automation and controls (PLC/HMI, robotics, vision, motion)Proven Lean, continuous improvement, or productivity initiative leadership with measurable resultsStrong project leadership including equipment installation, commissioning, validationData analysis proficiency (SPC, DOE)Excellent cross-functional communication across organizational levelsExperience in multi-site or global manufacturing environmentsAdvanced degree, PE, PMP, Lean Six Sigma certification, additive manufacturing, GD&T, measurement systems, or ISO quality experienceStrong communicationCross-functional collaborationLeadership and mentorshipCNC machiningCNC programmingTooling and fixturing
