Job DescriptionLocation: Patuxent Road MDJob Req ID: 15925Join our amazing team and contribute as a:\nSkid Steer OperatorABOUT THE ROLE\nAmrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Skid Steer Operator in our Asphalt division.The skid steer operator is responsible for safely operating skid steer loaders to perform site preparation, grading, asphalt spreading, and other related tasks. Ensures equipment is maintained, job plans are followed accurately, and work is completed efficiently in all weather conditions.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\nOperate skid steer loaders to move asphalt, gravel, and construction materials.\nPrepare job sites by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and assisting paving crews.\nLoad and unload trucks, and transport materials around the site efficiently.\nCompact surfaces and help with base preparation for asphalt laying.\nInspect skid steer daily for mechanical issues, leaks, and tire damage.\nPerform basic maintenance like refueling, cleaning, and lubrication.\nFollow safety guidelines (OSHA standards) and wear proper PPE.\nCommunicate with team members to ensure smooth and safe project workflow.\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent\nRequired Work Experience: Minimum 2 years skid steer experience in asphalt/paving operations\nTravel Requirements: Daily travel required, Must have reliable transportation\nOperate skid steer loaders with precision and efficiency in asphalt and paving operations\nPerform site preparation, grading, and asphalt spreading to meet project specifications\nUse skid steer attachments (buckets, forks, sweepers, etc.) safely and effectively for various tasks\nConduct daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and promptly report mechanical issues\nFollow detailed project plans and supervisor instructions to ensure high-quality results\nMaintain strict adherence to jobsite safety protocols and OSHA standards\nCollaborate with team members to optimize workflow and project efficiency\nAdapt to varying outdoor conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and challenging weather environments\nDemonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic on every project\n\nAdditional Requirements:\n\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
