This vital role is not just about ensuring safety; it's about creating a secure and comfortable environment for everyone who enters our premises. As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline in protecting our property, employees, and visitors.Responsibilities:Thorough knowledge of policies and proceduresPatrol interior/exterior and check for irregularitiesMonitor and operate CCTV cameras as well as other security and fire systemsLock/unlock areas as requestedRespond to incidents and complete reports as necessaryControl shipping and receiving of packagesCreating a safe and comfortable working environment for employees and visitorsConducting searches of personnel, bags, and packagesMonitor and control employee and visitor access to the buildingAttend Department in-service training as neededMaintain all security equipment through proper upkeep and maintenancePerform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or Company policyOther duties that may be assignedQualifications:Must have a Valid GA Driver's LicenseMust have a clear criminal record and MVR checkAt least two years of security experienceHighschool Diploma or GEDGreat verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented, professional image and integrityBe able to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of timeBasic computer skillsMust be able to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays; and/or extended hoursMust be physically able to demonstrate proficiency with all security equipment, as well as obtain and keep currentFirst Aid Certification and pass written tests related to security policies and procedures on an annual basisThis position may require operating a company vehicle or driving as part of regular job duties.
