HPO - Strength & Conditioning Coach
Job Summary: T3i is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a strength and conditioning (S&C) coach role supporting Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base’s (ANGB) Human Performance Optimization program. The S&C coach will be part of a holistic team of human performance (HP) specialists who work alongside US Air Force counterparts to achieve program objectives. The S&C coach is responsible for preparing fighter pilots for the physical demands of combat aviation. This role requires a professional who can incorporate 'prehab,' performance training, and strength and conditioning to ensure pilots are in peak physical condition. The S&C coach will also support rehabilitation efforts with a focused "return-to-fly" mindset, working to expedite recovery and maintain operational readiness.
Daily responsibilities include the instruction, demonstration, and application of tailored physical training principles and techniques. This position demands a proactive and adaptable individual with a strong understanding of the unique physical requirements of combat aviators. Employment is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
Develop and teach fitness skills to aircrew with varying ability levels
Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to individual needs
Collaborate with the Athletic Trainer to provide initial performance evaluations and create customized training plans
Build rapport and motivate clients to achieve higher performance
Teach health, fitness, and physical performance instruction
Utilize fitness and nutrition technologies to support training programs
Deliver briefings, educational sessions, and seminars
Stay current with best practices in strength and conditioning
Maintain professional credentials and certifications
Complete all required training and in-processing tasks
Assist with managing physical conditioning supplies and equipment
Perform administrative duties, including maintaining records and documenting patient encounters
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa) and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
5+ years of full-time experience as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist with tactical, professional, or collegiate athletes
Current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
Pass required background check: National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with computers, e-mail, voicemail, and mobile messaging
Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Skills and Experience:
Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC)
National Strength and Conditioning (NSCA) Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F)
Functional Range Systems FRCms, Kinstretch, and/or FRA
CrossFit Level 2 or higher

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement: As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug-free workplace standards.
