Contract Administrator

Position Summary The Contract Administrator supports the administration of commercial and contractual matters for rail vehicle supply programs with public transit agencies. The role is responsible for managing contract documentation, monitoring compliance with contractual requirements, and coordinating contractual communications between the company, the customer, and subcontractors. This position assists in reviewing contract provisions, preparing contractual correspondence, supporting change order and claim management, and maintaining accurate contract records throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Contract Administrator Administer and monitor contractual requirements for rail vehicle supply programs with public transit agencies, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project obligations. Prepare and manage contractual correspondence, notices, and documentation between the company, the customer, and subcontractors. Maintain contract records, track contractual deliverables, and support contract modifications, change orders, and claims management. Review contract provisions and assist project teams in interpreting contractual requirements and obligations. Coordinate with project management, legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure proper implementation of contractual commitments and timely resolution of commercial matters. Serve as a primary liaison for contractual and administrative inquiries from public transit agencies and coordinate internal responses as appropriate. Collect periodic records from suppliers and subcontractors and monitor compliance with the contract Coordinate with suppliers to obtain required employment reports and supporting documentation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, project administration, or commercial management. Experience supporting contract compliance, contractual correspondence, and contract documentation. Strong understanding of contract terms, contract change management, and contract record management. Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams including project management, procurement, legal, and finance. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare formal contractual correspondence and reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced project environment.
