SFFS Capture Lead - Director II

As the Capture Lead for the Small Form Factor Solutions (SFFS) Product Line, you will be partnering with Program Management, Business Development, Supply Chain and Technical Leadership to identify, qualify, execute, and manage all captures within the Product Line. “Connecting the dots” across the company, technology and marketplace will be key to success in this position.As Capture Lead, you will be a member of the SFFS Leadership Team with the opportunity to help build the long-term SFFS strategy. You will manage a team that will execute day-to-day activities such as RFI, financial, and technical responses. The successful candidate will be expected to work across the breadth of BAE Systems leveraging expertise where necessary. In addition, success as the capture lead includes management of financial resources such as B&P and Tech Marketing budgets.Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and classified work, it will take the form of on-site, with occasional travel to customer locations as needed.The SFFS product line Capture lead is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business with special emphasis on leading and capturing top priority pursuits. To accomplish these tasks, the candidate will have the ability to engage and influence the full range of DoW customers from operators to senior decision makers in order to understand customer “hot buttons”, apply strategic filters to assess potential solutions and their business cases, and better understand and shape the competitive landscape. This position will lead multi-functional, high-performance teams to capture strategic business in a dynamic, matrixed environment, allocating resources and prioritizing effectively in limited timeframes. A successful candidate will work across and throughout leadership channels to ensure appropriate multi-functional engagement to achieve needed objectives/milestones.Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited ToParticipation as member of the SFFS leadership teamEstablish a capture team to support all aspects of the capture processEstablish and allocate Tech Marketing budget including tracking of performance to that budget (in coordination with Business Development)Establish USAF, USN, USA, and “Prime” Customer maps including a customer engagement strategyLead/Coordinate all customer responses to RFIs, RFP’s, and Customer meetings for new business captureEstablish & maintain “1 to N” opportunity priority listCoordinate Phase 0/1 reviews as required to vet opportunitiesBuild program/capture timelines for the different opportunities being pursuedEstablish a Price to Win (PTW), Program Go (Pgo) and probability of Win Pwin for the different opportunities being pursuedIdentify activities or technologies needed to increase PwinWeekly status email to SFFS Product Line DirectorOverview/Status briefings (as required) to both SFFS and Electronic Combat Systems leadershipRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related disciplineEquivalent experience totaling 12+ years in a Business Development or Capture Lead rolDemonstrated experience capturing Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales business opportunitiesUnderstanding of both DoW and non-US acquisition processes and how to network and navigate within both domainsExperience developing capture strategies and briefing them throughout the organization to solicit feedback and gain alignmentA strong ability to develop priorities across a large opportunity spaceKnowledge of offsets, industrial participation, and localization strategiesStrong ability to collaborate across product lines and business areasAbility to lead multi-disciplinary capture teams to achieve early-phase program shaping and requirements influenceProgram management skills in complex new product development with an eye towards a successful transition to productionStrong financial acumen with the ability to analyze and manage budgets effectivelySuccessful experience both managing and winning large (100 million) lifecycle value) and complex programs involving the design, development / manufacture, and sustainment of complex solutionsExperience leading proposal efforts for new and follow-on business capture opportunitiesExhibit sound interpersonal skills to interface, coordinate, and negotiate with company personnel and functional leadershipAbility to communicate (written/oral) at the most senior levels of government and with internal executivesVery strong presentation and organizational skills,Highly adaptable with a strategic mindset and strong sense of initiativeUnited States CitizenshipActive SECRET ClearanceAbility to obtain SAP-level clearancePreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsMasters DegreePMPPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $173023 - $294137Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
