Be a part of something special! Position Overview NASA SEWP is seeking a mid-level Java Software Developer to build and maintain internal and external Java web-based applications. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our IT solutions team of developers, database and systems administrators in support the NASA SEWP Program Management Office, a multi-award government acquisition contract focused on commercial IT products and product based services. Core Responsibilities Develop and implement new web applications to support the NASA SEWP Program Develop, enhance, and maintain Java web-based applications that support the NASA SEWP Program focusing on usability and performance Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, coding, implementation and production launch Perform peer code reviews and application testing to include unit, integration, regression and performance testing to maintain software quality and integrity Collaborate with application developers, database and systems administrators, content management and internal stakeholders Document system, component, and interface designs and requirements to ensure future maintainability Adhere to project schedules and proactively resolve or escalate issues to management Adapt and contribute to a fast-paced, Agile application development environment Participate in the maintenance and deployment of projects, providing support outside normal core business hours as needed Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years of experience developing Java applications 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries, preferably including experience with Oracle 1+ years of experience working in an Agile software development environment Experience with data interchange formats including JSON and XML Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Expertise Experience with JSP and/or Spring preferred Full stack experience including front-end web development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) is a plus Halvik offers a competitive full benefits package including:Company-supported medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insuranceBenefits include 11 federal holidays and PTOEligible employees may receive performance-based incentives in recognition of individual and/or team achievements.401(k) with company matchingFlexible Spending Accounts for commuter, medical, and dependent care expensesTuition AssistanceCharitable Contribution matching Halvik Corp is an equal opportunity employer.
