Job Description Battle Captain Trainer Location: Fort Meade, Maryland (On-site) Employment Type: Contract to Perm Role Overview We are seeking a Battle Captain Trainer to provide structured training to Watch Officer personnel. This role is focused on developing their ability to maintain stable, secure, and undisrupted Defense Department networks. The position involves creating and delivering training on communications, IT services, cyber situational awareness, and watch-floor procedures. This is a key role in enhancing the cybersecurity training documentation and curriculum for a major government contract. Key Responsibilities Provide structured training to Watch Officer personnel to maintain stable, secure, and undisrupted networks. Create and update training curriculum for both in-person and online delivery, covering communications, IT services, and cyber situational awareness. Analyze and develop training curricula, certification standards, performance objectives, and training plans. Update training materials to account for new technologies, threats, and mission requirements. Support all aspects of Watch and CSSP training capabilities, from development to operational transition. Establish a community of interest between cyber-Watch security trainers and industry and government requirements. Assist in maintaining training databases to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of records. Track and report on agency-level training and certification requirements for the workforce. Required Qualifications Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance or SCI eligibility. Experience:A Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or 16+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Experience creating and updating training curriculum, particularly in a cybersecurity or IT context. A background as a teacher or instructor is beneficial. Knowledge of joint doctrine, plans, policies, and practices supporting military operations. Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including working with large data sets. Current CSSP certification is required. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated salary for this position is between $150,000 and $155,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
