We're addressing the global challenges of ending plastic waste, taking climate action, and supporting a thriving society, while generating value for our customers, investors, and society.Basic FunctionThis position is in the direct line of succcession for site manager for multiple sites across the U.S. The ideal candidate has held site leadership roles at a small or medium size site or an operations manager role at a larger site. Responsible for approximately 75% of the site workforce, this role is accountable for the safe, efficient and accurate manufacturing at our largest and highest volume site within the APS portfolio. Responsibilities include leading our production, maintenance, and logisitics department, developing people leaders of those departments. Experience with P&L, zero based budgeting, and developing people leaders is essential to success in this role. Leading by influence and effectively communicating at the corporate and site level equally effectively should be demonstrated.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee department leads responsible for daily manufacturing activities and ensure adherence to production schedules and on-time delivery targetsPromote a culture of zero incidents and proactive safety engagement and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulationsImplement Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologiesIdentify and reduce process variability, waste, and non-value-added activitiesDrive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or complianceLead, coach, and develop department leads and operational staffEstablish clear performance expectations and accountability measuresDrive employee engagement, training, and cross-functional collaborationParticipate in workforce planning, hiring, and succession developmentDevelop and manage operational budgets and cost controlsSupport capital expenditure planning for new equipment and facility upgradesEnsure reliability and proper maintenance of equipment and facilitiesAnalyze data to gain actionable insights to drive continuous improvementMin. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree, preferably in an engineering discipline 5+ years experience in supervisory/management positions.
