Provider Relations Coordinator
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Position requires (a) Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Healthcare-related field and at least 3 years’ work experience in provider relations, marketing outreach or (b) a High School diploma and at least 5 years’ work experience in marketing outreach.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, staff, providers and community
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and strong time management skills
Proficiency in MS Windows Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
General Summary:
This position is responsible for the implementation and development of community and professional relationships and for the growth of referral development in the local Pennsylvania area.
Partner with providers to monitor member health outcomes and oversee provider performance.
Participates in market outreach initiatives, coordinates, and administers details for referral development projects and events, and develops and maintains effective referral resources to drive business to programming and ensure community knowledge of available resources.
Perform day to day duties of assuring that providers (individual, group, ancillary, etc.) are set up accurately in the provider information system for state reporting, claims payment, and directories.
Perform duties to act as a liaison between providers, the health plan and Corporate including investigating and resolving provider claims issues.
Oversee work flow processes, training and communication standards
Monitor and maintain production and quality standards
