Promotions Internship - Summer 2026

Join the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team as a Promotions Intern for the 2026 season! The internship offers students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in professional sports through our dynamic internship program. The internship runs from May to September and does not end early if interns complete their required hours. The Gateway Grizzlies are located in Sauget, IL and have been a part of the Frontier League since 2001. The Grizzlies made the playoffs in 2025 for the third consecutive year!Check us out: www.gatewaygrizzlies.comQualifications:Must be for college creditAuthorized to work in the U.S.Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, outgoing, and energeticStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to work effectively in a team environmentMust be comfortable in front of large crowdsAble to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasksKnowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)Must be willing and able to lift items up to 100 lbs. for set up and take down of games and eventsMust have a car and driver's licenseFlexible to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysResponsibilities:Assist in the planning and execution of promotion theme nights and mid-inning gamesPromote the Grizzlies organization throughout the community as a member of the "street team"Represent Grizzlies at events such as parades and community activitiesSchedule and coordinate mascot appearances and events (be available for community appearances with or as the mascot)Assist in inventory management for the team store merchandise and promotional materials.Stock Izzy's Den with Novelty items as well as fulfilling orders.Write gameday scripts, rundowns, etc. for Grizzlies Games and well as any extra events at the ballpark.Assist in the implementation of activities including: On-field promotional items and props, pre-game giveaways, post-game activities, and upkeep of promotional items/equipment, etc.Manage Izzy's Cub Club including writing emails, communicating with members, staffing the table at games, etc.Assist and learn from other departments throughout the entire internship.Answer phone calls & everyday questions about the Gateway Grizzlies organizationCompensation:Unpaid internship (Candidates are required to work 25-40 hours per week for the internship)Candidates can work games and extra events for compensation at an hourly rate.Housing is not provided for the internship (Applicants should consider the Greater St. Louis Area for housing)Over the years, Gateway Grizzlies interns have gone on and worked in all 4 major league sports!
