Cybersecurity Manager

Since 1946, we've relied on our talented and dedicated team members to provide reliable products with personalized service.We're hiring a Cybersecurity Manager to join County Materials in Marathon, WI.Job Summary:Cybersecurity Manager will lead and strengthen our enterprise security posture across a large, complex environment. This role is responsible for cybersecurity operations, risk management, vendor oversight, and disaster recovery readiness, working closely with internal IT infrastructure and operations teams. You will also manage third-party security partners and systems responsible for threat monitoring, incident response, and remediation.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain continuous improvement in cybersecurity strategies, policies, standards, and reporting metricsLead day-to-day cybersecurity operations and risk management activitiesPartner with IT infrastructure and operations to secure networks, systems, and cloud platformsOversee monitoring, incident response, and remediation efforts (internal + third-party vendors)Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls and policies, including Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel, Purview, etc.Administer and oversee firewall and email security platforms (Fortinet, Barracuda, etc.)Govern identity, access, and privileged access (PAM, MFA, least privilege, zero-trust)Manage MSSPs and security vendors, ensuring SLA performance and accountabilityDrive vulnerability management, patching oversight, and risk remediationSupport incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning COUNTY Core Competencies: The expected behaviors of all COUNTY team members that align with Our Values and Our Commitments: Integrity & Organizational AwarenessCustomer First FocusResults Driven OrientationTeamwork, Safety & CollaborationProblem Solving & Decision MakingCreativity & Innovation Job-Based Competencies: Cybersecurity Program LeadershipIdentity & Access GovernanceSecurity Operations & Incident ResponseRisk Management, Policy & ComplianceSecurity ArchitectureVendor Selection & ManagementSecurity Awareness & TrainingDocumentation & MeasurementExecutive Risk KPI/Dashboard ReportingTroubleshooting & SupportInstallation & Integration Experience & Qualifications: 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, IT risk management, security operations, or related IT disciplines.3+ years in technology leadership, cybersecurity manager, risk manager, security architect, or senior security operations role.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, or similar.Experience supporting security in a multi-site enterprise or large corporate environment.Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft ecosystem (AD, M365, Entra ID, Azure).Experience with endpoint detection and response, email security, identity protection, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response.Hands-on experience with Defender, Sentinel, firewalls, PAM, DLP, and email security.Experience with firewall rule governance, network segmentation, VPN security, remote access security, and network security monitoring.Familiarity with Fortinet firewall environments and Cisco/HP enterprise networking.Experience developing security policies, standards, procedures, incident response plans, and risk documentation.Experience supporting audits, compliance, and risk programs.Background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, etc.Experience working with MSPs, MDR providers, external SOC providers, or cybersecurity consultants. Experience & Qualifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCNA/CCNP, or Microsoft security certifications.Knowledge of ISO security frameworksFamiliarity with ConnectWise PAM or equivalent platformTicketing, ITSM, CMDB, vulnerability management, and documentation platforms Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an indoor office environment.Exposure may include noise, machinery, dust, public interaction.10-20% travel is required (up to 50% while onboarding first 90 days)Typical work performed during standard business hours Physical & Work Expectations: An individual in this position must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above successfully.
