Gas Distribution Foreman

PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements for the position of “Gas Distribution Foreman” for Acadian Contractors, Inc. (ACI). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Description The Gas Distribution Foreman position requires the person to demonstrate the ability to follow directions and ask pertinent questions when required. The Foreman must be willing to learn industry terms, work practices, use of tools, and skills that will allow the helper to assist other shop personnel as needed. The Foreman must report to work on time and as scheduled and maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers and supervisors and stay productive throughout the workday. Education Preferably high school diploma or equivalent Experience & Qualifications Preferably 3+ years minimum experience in construction and/or distribution Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks Prior directional drilling experience Drill locating experience Utility line locating Fusion experience Able to read project drawings Valid driver/operator license. Knowledge of underground utilities. Ability to travel throughout the state as needed Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Ability to follow Safety and Quality ACI Procedures Physic Major Physical Demands Standing: Remaining on one’s feet in an upright position at a workstation without moving about. Maintain a positive attitude with internal and external customers by providing quality customer service. Plan, organize and delegate the daily work activities within the crew Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems. Ensure preventative maintenance of equipment is assigned and completed by the crew. Properly lift tools, objects, and equipment of varying weight. Safely and effectively operate all directional drill equipment. Complete paperwork as required by the customer.
