Automation Technician
The Responsibilities:
Assist with all maintenance operations and repairs distribution facility.
Maintain Warehouse Systems and Equipment:
Inspect equipment to ensure all systems are operating properly.
Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Perform any required maintenance throughout facility to maintain operation.
Identify necessary repairs which may be required during equipment shut down.
Complete specific building maintenance as assigned, including but not limited to; palletizing equipment maintenance, conveyor maintenance, electronic troubleshooting, general mechanical / electrical work, fabrication, plumbing, painting, HVAC work and general cleaning.
Monitor and catalog the spare parts inventory.
Communicate clearly with off shift technicians electronically. Safety & Compliance
Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all safety policies, requirements and regulations. Assists in ensuring the same from all employees and vendors as required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in facility service/maintenance, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Conveyor and automation experience is a plus.
Prefer experience with FM Global requirements, NFPA 70E guidelines, OSHA regulations/policies, and International Building Code.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels within CDC, vendors and contractors.
Computer skills preferred - MS Office, AutoCAD, and CMMS.
The maintenance team provides 24 hour maintenance coverage and support; each Technician will be assigned a “core” shift, however flexibility in both start and end times is required.
Some weekend work may be assigned as needed.
Position requires physical presence within CDC.

Must be physically capable of performing general building maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
