Marketplace Enrollment Specialist

Job Duties The Marketplace Enrollment Specialist is a member of the Enrollment & Financial Services and Outreach teams, responsible for screening/enrollment/advocacy and navigation of financial programs on behalf of patients including, but not limited to OWCHC, State, Local and Federal programs, specifically the Health Insurance Marketplace. The Marketplace Enrollment Specialist will assist patients and community members with understanding and completing enrollment process through the Health Insurance Marketplace exchanges. The Marketplace Enrollment Specialist will also discuss treatment plans and costs with the patient and help create a payment plan that falls within the set policies of the billing office if necessary. The Marketplace Enrollment Specialist will work collaboratively with all office staff to ensure a well-executed financial plan is established for the patient. Eliminate barriers, increase interest, and motivate OneWorld patients and non-OneWorld patients to enroll in coverage. Implement outreach and education techniques likely to increase awareness of the opportunity to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace or other eligible programs. Maintain caseload of patients as determined by the program specific guidelines. Makes and coordinates referrals and follow-up appointments. Provide intake on clients as directed per clinic session (internal financial programs, Medicaid, Marketplace, etc.). Interpret OneWorld Community Health Centers and other agency activities, policies and services for clients. Make and coordinate appointments in OneWorld clinics and specialty clinics. Educate and work with families to prevent denial due to failure to submit documentation necessary for approval. Assist in new-hire training and orientation to EFS department. Inform patients of our billing and collection policies including payment plan, bad debt, reclassifications and other revenue generating duties.
