Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityJob SummaryWe are looking for a reliable, skilled Property Maintenance Person with Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and problem solving experience willing to take after hours call for multiple commercial properties in Kent County. On Site housing available. Additional property maintenance skills and tools is a plus. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities including ongoing maintenance repairs and upkeep to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge. You should have the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary for this work.Maintenance Worker Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe available after hours and weekends to respond to emergency service callsTroubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical plumbing and HVAC service needsCoordinate repairs with sub-contractors if neededPerform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, replacing faucets, toilets, light fixtures, receptacles etc.Install necessary appliances and equipment as neededCheck electrical devices and wiring to identify issuesOversee grounds maintenance vendorsMaintain overall curb appeal of the propertiesComplete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbsInspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systemsTest the functionality of the facility's safety systemsCoordinate service orders with property managerCollaborate with a team of workers and other professionals during renovations and facility expansionsReport to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progressJump in with other maintenance staff as needed to assist with clean ups, snow shoveling, painting and repairsMaintenance Worker Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentDependable transportationProven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate settingBasic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systemsExperience working with tools, including hand and electrical toolsSuccessful completion of on-site apprenticeship training requiredAbility to read and utilize technical manuals and drawingsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGeneral passion for creative problem-solvingCompany DescriptionMutual Properties is a property management company with ownership in apartments, commercial and industrial buildings.
