Our core business focuses on cleanup and mitigation efforts for recovery from fire damage, roof leaks, flooding, pipe bursts, and post-disaster remediation due to severe weather. We exclusively serve commercial sectors including hospitality, senior housing, healthcare, commercial offices, municipalities, multifamily living, and institutional markets.Position Summary:Director of Roofing Operations to own the full P&L of our Roofing Division — driving revenue growth, operational execution, and profitability across a diverse book of commercial roofing work that includes re-roofing, repair and maintenance, and insurance-funded CAT/storm damage restoration. This is a high-accountability, results-oriented role for a proven commercial roofing operator who knows how to build and run a business, not just manage projects.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial & P&L Management Own full P&L accountability for the Roofing Division; establish annual revenue, gross margin, and growth targets in coordination with executive leadership and drive measurable results against those benchmarksProvide weekly and monthly reporting of revenue, pipeline, active projects, and accounts receivable; actively manage collection effortsOperations & Project Execution Direct day-to-day roofing operations including estimating, scheduling, subcontractor deployment, project execution, and invoicing; maintain gross margin discipline across the project portfolioDevelop and enforce standardized project management, quality control, and safety protocols; interpret specifications and company policies to staff and subcontractorsLead pre-project planning across concurrent projects, reviewing scope, contract documents, drawings, equipment needs, and schedules to anticipate safety issues and resource requirementsLead pre-project planning across concurrent projects, reviewing scope, contract documents, drawings, equipment needs, and schedules to anticipate safety issues and resource requirementsLead the division’s response to catastrophic storm events; coordinate with insurance adjusters, property owners, and estimating teams to assess damage, scope work, and mobilize resources on short noticeAdminister Warranty Program and Third-Party Inspection(s) ProgramTeam Building & Subcontractor Management Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of project managers, estimators, and superintendents; build and maintain a qualified national subcontractor network capable of executing commercial roofing projects across BlueTeam’s operating footprintSet up vendor relationships with preferred manufacturers, subcontractors, and other vendors; ensure proper certifications to maintain relationshipSales, Business Development & Client RelationsPartner with the sales team to develop and price opportunities, support business development with key accounts, and ensure roofing services are effectively cross sold alongside BlueTeam’s restoration and general construction capabilitiesParticipate in weekly sales and leadership meetings; lead resolution of client disputes and contractual obligationSupervisory Responsibilities: Yes Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or a related field is required.10+ years of hands-on commercial roofing experience with demonstrated proficiency across multiple system types including TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal roofing, and built-up roofing (BUR)Minimum 7 years in a senior leadership or management role with direct P&L responsibility over a roofing or commercial construction division; track record of managing multi-million-dollar revenue portfoliosExperience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, roofing details, and contract documentExperience with insurance-funded property damage work including familiarity with the claims process, adjuster negotiations, and roofing estimating platforms is strongly preferredHighly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with project management platforms and roofing-specific estimating software required.Certifications and Licsenses:OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.Manufacturer certifications (GAF Master Elite, Firestone/Carlisle Authorized Contractor, Duro-Last, or equivalent) strongly preferredRCI (Roof Consultants Institute) or IIBEC membership a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
