As they continue to grow, they are seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Accounting Manager who is eager to strengthen financial operations and grow into a Controller role.Position OverviewThe Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while driving process improvements and system implementations. Clear path to Controller role based on performance and organizational growthOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organizationCollaborative and supportive team environmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageKey ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with leadership to prepare accurate and timely financial statementsAssist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing cash flow forecastingDirect and continuously improve the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accrualsReview contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standardsOversee Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (G/L) functionsSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including training and performance managementIdentify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracySupport audits and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting regulations and reporting requirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)5+ years of progressive accounting experience required, including in public accountingStrong knowledge of GAAP, including revenue recognitionDemonstrated experience with system implementations and process improvementsProven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a teamExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Salary: $115K-130K, depending on experience #LI-KS5
