Job Description Salary: $19.00/ HourPVB Fabrications, Inc. (PVB), a direct-hire, multi-disciplined industrial construction, and metal fabrication company is seeking a Helper 3 (Core Technician) to support our client's mining geological Core Logging Facility. This position is regulated by Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) but it's not an active mining operation.Type: Full-TimeBase Work Location: Tucson, AZ (Near I-10 & Wilmot)Hourly Rate:$19.00Anticipated start date: 01/19/2026Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPhotographing geological core samplesMoving/Handling geological core samplesPrepping/ShippingSplitting, sampling, and palletizing drill core and other geological material in support of company operationsData entry using Microsoft Excel/WordQualifications (REQUIRED)Must pass pre-employment substance abuse testing.Basic Computer skillsHave a minimum of 1 year experience in a heavy industrial workplace.Must be flexible with schedule and ability to work at various local sites if needed.Skills/AbilitiesMust have knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office softwareSome travel to other worksites outside of the Tucson area may be requiredMust be able to lift up to 35-50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods of timeAbility to effectively communicate in English, both in writing and verballySchedule Must be flexible!Four (4) Ten (10) hour daysMonday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday (Assigned by the client after hire)Schedules are assigned by the client and may change based on production requirements.Other potential schedules could includeWednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday.BenefitsVoluntary Benefits such as Medical/Dental/Vision/STD/LTD/Life Insurance401(k) retirement program with company match8 paid holidays/yearPaid time off
