Product Designer (UX Research + Product Design)

Job OverviewJoin a dynamic team as a Product Designer with a focus on UX Research and Product Design, where you'll be pivotal in driving the UX and design of an investigator-facing platform. This role involves transforming complex investigative data into intuitive workflows, ensuring seamless usability and efficiency in high-stakes environments. You will own end-to-end UX design for key product features, conducting user research directly with detectives and investigators to gain a deep understanding of their workflows. Collaborating closely with engineers and founders, you'll translate real-world workflows into clear product flows and interfaces, writing precise product specs and prototyping new ideas to quickly test and refine with users. Your work will focus on continuously improving usability for law enforcement professionals as they navigate digital evidence. We seek a candidate with over three years of experience in product design, particularly with complex workflows or data-heavy products. A proven track record conducting direct user research and translating insights into shipped products is essential. You must be adept at working closely with engineers in fast-paced startup environments, with strong problem-solving and product thinking skills. As an early design hire, you'll have the opportunity to shape the core UX philosophy of the platform, influencing AI integration into workflows with potential growth into leadership roles. This full-time position, located in NYC or SF on a hybrid model, offers a salary range of $150,000 to $225,000.
