Laboratory - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Lab Generalist Schedule: Days Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or Associate's Degree for grandfathered personnel) CLS or MT (ASCP) or equivalent New MT Graduates must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date Strong proficiency in Epic Roles & Responsibilities: Collects, processes, and receives specimens (including blood, urine, fecal, body fluid) for analysis in all departments of the clinical laboratory. Evaluates and resolves issues related to the collection and processing of biological specimens across all age groups. Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures, writing and revising technical procedures as needed. Performs complex laboratory procedures and analyzes quality control data, making judgments to maintain accuracy and precision. Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity and sensitivity. Reviews instrument indicators and temperature monitors for laboratory departments. Maintains self-competency in laboratory skills.
