Production Foreman

V&S Galvanizing, LLC has over 100 years of experience in Hot Dip Galvanizing and we are the leader in the steel coating industry. Today we operate over 9 galvanizing plants in the U.S., featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide.We are seeking an energetic individual to fulfill the role of Production Foreperson. This is a full time position with potential for career advancement located at our Owego, New York facility - V&S New York Galvanizing LLC.Responsibilities:Drive our culture of safetyOperate and Maintain a safe and welcoming workplaceCoordinate manpower between work stationsSupervise workstations for quality, safety and piece count accuracyResponsible for reporting injuries to Plant ManagerInterface daily with production, maintenance, quality assurance and shipping & receivingCoordinates plant schedules through planning to ensure the total production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner, as directed by the Plant ManagerEstablishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standardsCollect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and wasteEnsure that plant operates safely and in compliance with all company and federal/state codes and regulations, with the supervision and assistance of both the Operations and Plant ManagerAssist in the recruitment, training, and on boarding of new employeesEvaluate employees and give suggestions for improvementOther duties as directed by Plant ManagerRequirements:Minimum of three (3) years of similar, relevant supervisory experienceKnowledge of the steel industry or protective industrial coatings a PLUSWillingness to learn our industryAbility to work/manage in a fast-paced environmentBi-Lingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a PLUSCompensation:Competitive Wage: $21-25/hrPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysPremium benefit package; Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA and Life & Disability products for employee and family401k program with company match
