PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Payroll Oversight and ProcessingOversee and process semi-monthly payroll process using ADP Workforce NowReview and audit timecards, hours, and pay data prior to payroll submissionManage off-cycle payroll runs for terminations, bonuses, and correctionsEnsure accurate and compliant calculation of gross-to-net pay, including overtime, shift differentials, incentives and PTOManage 403(b), FSA, HSA, garnishments and other pre/post-tax deductionsServe as primary ADP payroll system administrator to configure and maintain earnings codes, deduction codes, and pay rulesGenerate and customize payroll reports to support strategic decision making, such as labor cost reports, headcount summaries, and overtime analysisManage year-end processes including W-2 and W-2c preparation and distributionMaintain compliance with FLSA, ACA, garnishment laws, and multi-state payroll regulationsEstablish and document payroll policies, procedures, and internal controlsServe as subject matter expert for payroll regulations and best practices, suggesting and implementing system improvements when appropriateAccounts Payable Management & General DutiesMonitor full cycle AP process from PO to PaymentForm productive relationships with vendors, review and negotiate opportunities for payment term discountsCollaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Legal on system upgrades, integrations, and auditsTimely corrects any significant and/or systemic deviations from industry best practices and implement policy updatesAssists in monthly financial statement review to ensure timely month end closeContributes to fiscal year-end audit and grant monitoring proceduresSafeguards company assets as assignedProvides leadership, coaching and development support to staff including performance reviews and training procedure documentationSome evening or weekend work may be requiredPerforms other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS: REQUIREDBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a related subject or equivalent experienceExperience with ADP Workforce Now 5 years accounting or payroll processing experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent project management skillsStrong collaboration and relationship building skills both internal and externalSolution and efficiency focused, able to effectively manage time and work well under tight deadlines PREFERRED/DESIRABLEThree or more years of supervisory experienceCertified Payroll ProfessionalExperience with payroll software implementation, digital integration and complex workforcesEEOPioneer human services is an equal opportunity employer of minorities/women/individuals with disabilities/protected veterans and does not unlawfully discriminate under federal, state, or local laws.
