Medical Office Trainer
Description Schedule: Full-time M-F 8:30am-5pm The Medical Office Trainer is responsible for initial EPIC training . Works with administration, operations, physicians, and workflow team to develop procedures and written materials at Charles River Medical Associates office locations. Experience as Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary required. Experience using Epic as Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary required. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible to work with Operations, Human Resources, Physicians, and Office Managers to develop and deliver appropriate new hire orientation/onboarding for office staff (providers, administrative and medical assistants) including use of Epic Software, Infinitt , and overview of insurance, billing/coding, customer service expectations.Develops, monitors, and ensures new office staff meet checklist requirements during a defined post hire period. Communicates with offices about progress meeting new hire goals.Participates in direct training of staff both in a classroom setting as well as in the office setting.Works with Human Resources on maintaining training records.Serves as a resource to provide Epic training and answer questions regarding Epic as they come up.The trainer will train new office staff on tasks from the New Hire checklist. Primarily Epic workflows.The trainer will NOT train staff on basic medical office skills, such as phlebotomy, EKG, Blood Pressure, Triage.Standard training is 3 days, one on one with a trainer. This would be in addition to the time the trainee spends on e-learnings and other onboarding tasks. The training will be physically at the main central admin office but may also include the trainee's permanent office location for 2 days.At the end of the trainer's time with the trainee, the trainer will fill out the New Hire checklist.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Exceptional administrative and computer skills required with experience EPIC, various software, insurance, and scheduling functions. Skills and Abilities Required:Ability to communicate clearly and confidentially.Strong administrative skills with high level of accuracy and speed.Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and co-workers.Strong organizational skills required.
