Bilingual School Psychologist InternJOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 03/20/2026 POSTING NUMBER: 052371 LOCATION: Admin Special Education - 877 POSITION TITLE: Bilingual School Psychologist InternJOB DESCRIPTION:Responsible for completing full and individual evaluations of students, including psychological evaluations, autism evaluations and evaluations of ADD/ADHD to recommend disability conditions and the needs for special education services to the ARD Committee. Provides written reports and interprets test results for student, parents and school staff. Provides consultation to school staff regarding preventions and/or intervention strategies for students with behavioral problems that impact school performance. Attends initial and reevaluation ARD committee meetings and assists in the development of the student's IEP and BIP.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Select and administer assessments and observations to evaluate the intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of referred students. Determine student eligibility for special education services according to federal and state regulations. Develop emotional/behavioral reports and behavior intervention plans.Complete associated documentation for and/or participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to assist with appropriate placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students according to district procedures.Meet with parents to discuss pertinent background information and test results.Conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions as directed by the IEP.Consult with teachers and relevant staff concerning the educational needs of students, interpretation of assessment data, and implementation of behavior intervention plans in managing the emotional/behavioral needs of students.Consult with psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and community agencies concerning intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students as needed.Consults with staff on manifestation determination reviews (MDR) and threat assessments.Provide staff training in assigned schools to enable school personnel to identify and work more effectively with students with emotional, social, and behavioral disabilities.Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required, including case records, test results, statistical data, and evaluation protocols.Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
