Pay Rate $18/HR Schedule: Monday-Saturday Start Time: Between 4am & 5am (Depending on Department) We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Dock Worker / Freight Handler to assist with loading, unloading, staging, and securing freight. This position requires the ability to safely handle heavy materials, operate basic material-handling equipment, and maintain an organized and safe loading dock. Responsibilities * Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers by hand or using material-handling equipment. * Operate dollies, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move freight throughout the facility. * Move furniture and freight to assigned loading doors according to shipment requirements. * Handle, stage, and organize palletized boxes and other shipments. * Secure cargo using straps, bracing, padding, shrink wrap, and other protective materials to prevent damage during transportation. * Verify shipment accuracy by comparing freight against manifests, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and pick lists. * Inspect freight for visible damage and report discrepancies or damaged items to the appropriate personnel. * Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading dock areas. * Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices. * Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects weighing 50–75 pounds or more. * Work efficiently in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. * Perform other warehouse and dock-related duties as assigned. Qualifications * Ability to frequently lift and carry 50–75 pounds or more. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift for extended periods. * Previous warehouse, freight, dock, moving, or material-handling experience preferred. * Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and dolly. * Strong attention to detail when handling and verifying shipments. * Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Pay: From $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
