Assistant General Manager

An Assistant General Manager with Firebirds partners with the General Manager and Executive Chef to provide leadership, direction, and training to team members by coaching, counseling, and providing feedback on job performance. The AGM plays a key role in daily restaurant operations, ensuring that service, quality, and hospitality standards are consistently met. In addition to supervising restaurant managers and hourly team members, the AGM acts as second-in-command, helping drive financial performance, maintain brand standards, and foster a culture of excellence.ResponsibilitiesWhat we expect of you:Provides direct support to the General Manager in all areas of responsibility and serves as acting GM in their absenceLeads, develops, and motivates management and hourly team members to ensure excellence in execution and guest satisfactionPartners with the Executive Chef to oversee all food and beverage operations for the restaurant and FIREBAR®Ensures adherence to company policies, safety, sanitation, and compliance standardsAssists in forecasting, budgeting, and controlling costs, including food, beverage, and laborAnalyzes financial reports and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiencyProvides direction and training to managers and team members by coaching, counseling, and giving performance feedbackAccountable for ordering produce, seafood, main food orders, and/or wine, liquor, and beerConducts bi-weekly inventory in collaboration with the management teamOversees scheduling to maintain proper staffing levels while meeting labor goalsLeads recruitment, interviewing, and hiring efforts to maintain strong staffing levels and build bench strengthMaintains a positive, team-focused environment that sets expectations for service, quality food, and beverages in a neat, clean, and organized restaurantPartners with the GM to drive community involvement, local store marketing, and guest engagement initiativesQualifications Qualifications 4 years high volume, full service restaurant experience in a management positionWarm, passionate, and committed to the industryExcellent communication skillsAbility to remain calm, cool, and collected under pressureSelf-Actualized and motivatedSelf-discipline; maintained professional appearancePhysical RequirementsAble to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work locationReach, bend, push & pull items for up to 10 hours each dayAble to use fingers, hands, arms and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each dayAble to stand and exert well-paced mobility for multiple hours in lengthMust have a sense of balance, able to bend, kneel and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds Pay Range USD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
