Psychology Location: London, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,260 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 52 Weeks Start Date: 4/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Psychologist Profession: Psychologist Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required Description: Provides psychological services to patients, residents, consumers, students, and inmates within the scope of practice. Offers advice and consultation on psychological matters. Conducts psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations and assessments. Administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests. Reviews pre-admission or pre-treatment data. Conducts interviews and writes evaluation reports and treatment plans. Evaluates treatment plans developed by others and assesses the quality of services rendered. Coordinates psychological services and programs. Assists with program development and conducts research on psychological assessment and treatment. Conducts individual and group counseling and psychotherapy on various issues. Writes progress reports and follows up on treatment. Conducts psychological evaluations and court-ordered forensic evaluations. Participates in involuntary medication hearings and conducts suicide risk assessments. Consults with psychiatrists and works with clients to establish reasons for living and teach coping strategies. Diffuses and de-escalates issues while role modeling positive behaviors. Conducts ongoing assessments to identify, prevent, and contain significant lethality risks among inmates. Provides psychological services under parole authority oversight. Coordinates services between institutional mental health services and community mental health service providers. Completes re-entry accountability plans and conducts home visits with parole officers. Provides specialized therapies such as aggression control and victim empathy. Conducts psycho-educational classes and time-limited group psychotherapy. Participates in treatment team functions and provides technical assistance to team members. Recommends policies and procedures for patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment. Evaluates mental status and competence to stand trial, and writes comprehensive forensic reports. Responds to subpoenas and appears in court as an expert witness on psychological matters. Writes discharge summaries and behavioral recommendations for transitioning individuals. Prepares statistical reports and graphs summarizing behavioral progress and interventions. Acts as a liaison for offenders with treatment teams and relevant boards. Reviews multiple charts, conducts interviews, and writes risk assessment reports. Serves as an advisor on psychological matters for various divisions and groups.
