We are at the forefront of today’s construction industry growth and have several exciting job opportunities for talented, energized professionals across the region who want to join our #WeAre1KirbySmith family.Rental Coordinator BenefitsAbove-Average Industry PayComprehensive Benefits Package (including Medical/Dental/Vision)401K Plans with Company MatchGenerous PTO Package/Paid HolidaysShort/Long Term DisabilityGrowth Opportunities Paid TrainingFamily-Owned and OperatedHealth and Wellness Rental Coordinator Position PurposeResponsible for handling rental calls and coordinating equipment rentals according to specific guidelines and procedures.Rental Coordinator ResponsibilitiesCommunicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalAnswers telephone and in-person requests for equipment rentals using high-level customer service skillsInitiates rental contracts and completes all associated paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner, ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed to the customer according to company policies and proceduresSchedules equipment deliveries, training, and the pickup of rental equipment through company drivers or outside contract transport servicesEnsures equipment is properly serviced and prepared for rental by effectively working with the Service departmentMonitors repairs and ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and timelyMonitors and tracks rental equipment inventoryPrepares reports as neededMakes suggestions or recommendations to the Sr. Rental Coordinator; brings observed problems or issues to the attention of the Sr. Rental Coordinator and presents suggestions and solutions to resolve the problem, if possibleEnsures consistent and reliable on-site attendancePerforms other job-related duties as assigned Rental Coordinator Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentTwo (2) years of heavy construction equipment experience or comparable experience.Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skillsRental Coordinator Physical RequirementsPushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional conditionThis is a safety-sensitive position.
